Stephen Simon was born in Evanston, Illinois and grew up in Novato, California.

In addition to his work with Ten West, Stephen recently appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic as a guest artist in The Composer is Dead at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Recent film include leading roles in Crubicle the Musical!, The Procedure (winner of the Best Horror Film Award at the 2008 Beverly Hills Film Festival),  supporting roles in Eagle Eye (Dreamworks) and the zombie comedy, Wasting Away.

Television appearances include guest starring appearances on Nickelodeon’s All That and Qtv’s QueerEdge and co-starring in JibJab’s The Great Sketch Experiment (directed by John Landis).

Stephen has been seen in numerous commercials including V8 Juice, Toys R US, Bell South, and a PSA for Live Earth (www.liveearth.org) - an organization promoting awareness of and solutions for our climate crisis.

His voice over work includes promos for The Marine Mammal Center in Northern California, several characters in the upcoming Sony animated comedy series Liberty Meadows, and half a dozen characters for Gapers Guide, an audio driving tour of Yellowstone National Park.

He won the Geoffrey Award for Best Leading Actor with his work as Albert in Bye Bye Birdie; the Bigfoot Award from the Youth Education in Entertainment Series (2008 Winner of New Children's Theatre Company awarded by the American Alliance for Theatre and Education) for his role as Rocking Horse in The Velveteen Rabbit; and originated the role of Praiseworthy in the World Premiere stage adaptation of Newberry Award Winner Sid Fleischman’s book By the Great Horn Spoon!all at the Morgan-Wixson Theater.

Other recent Los Angeles stage productions include the critically acclaimed Accidental Death of an Anarchist at the Unknown Theater, and Kookamonga Falls, Jenelle Riley’s Seven Deadly Sins, I Wrote This!,  Serial Killers, Ten Tops and Fast and Loose with the Sacred Fools Theater Company.

He graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Theatre Arts and trained at HB Studios (Uta Hagen), and started his practice in clown, commedia, juggling, and mime with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College (Bill Irwin, Barry Lubin, and Larry Pisoni), additional Commedia del Arte and mime with John Achorn and Lorin Eric Salm.

Other totally relevant training includes rock climbing instructor, gardener, school teacher, underwater boat cleaner, professional driver for Charles Nelson Reilly, and singing in the Dapper Dan's Barbershop Quartet on Main St., USA.
